To honor the legacy of “Thimble Theatre,” King Features brought “Popeye’s Cartoon Club” back. My father and I were asked to be a creative team and come up with our own Sunday comic strip featuring Popeye and his friends. My dad wrote and illustrated the black and white comic and I digitally colored it in Photoshop using trapped RGB colors and gradients.
